Description
  • This paper is concerned with the two-scale modeling of mechanical response of regular natural stone masonry structures. The proposed approach relies on a simplified version of the classical uncoupled two-scale homogenization. In particular, the solution on each scale is carried out independently. Both scales are linked through homogenized material parameters needed in macroscopic constitutive law that are found from detailed analysis on meso-scale (level of constituents). Several examples are presented to document this modeling framework.
