  • The dramatic development of the computer technology allows to consider a transition from current structural reliability assessment methods developed in the pre computer era, such as partial factors design applied in Euro codes, to probabilistic methods using simulation technique and the increasing potential of the available computers to its full. The paper briefly indicates the basics of a qualitatively new SBRA method, applicable in the design and codes.
