Description	Three different mathematical models were used to calculate the local average wind speed over the complex terrain of the Czech republic. The models are based on different methodology: a statistical model with 3D interpolation, a microscale model with interpolation, and a flow model. Over most of the country the results were very close. Greater differences revealed areas not suitable for use of a particular model.
