Description	A brief overview of long-term trends in the lower ionosphere (h<100 km) is presented. Trends were studied with the use of the LF-HF A3 radio wave absorption, A2 cosmic noise absorption, indirect measurements of phase reflection heights, and rocket measurements of electron density and ion composition. Result based on verious methods and data sets do not provide sufficiently consistent observational pattern of trends in the lower ionosphere.
