Description	Ion composition data measured by the Bennet mass spectrometer during the Active mission in the maximum of the solar cycle 22 completed by available data from AE satellites from the minimum of solar cycle 21 was used to study the solar activity influence on the global behaviour of the upper transition height HT. A simple model of HT in the latitude vs. magnetic local time grid was produced for the O+/H+ transition using associated Legendre polynomials.
