Description
  • The study of the La2-xSrxCoRuO6 perovskite offers examination of the interplay of the cationic order, charge balance, transport and magnetic interactions between Co and Ru species. Consistent picture of transport properties of B-site ordered perovskites with x1 is based on a supposition of the ideal valency of Co and Ru close to 2+ and 5+, respectively, when the real chemical composition leads to excess electrons (x<1) or holes (x>1). The magnetic data reveal that effective magnetic moment amounts approx. 5.5 uB and does not significantly vary with x. Weiss constant shows a parabolic-like dependence on x: from -70K for x=0, via maximum for x=1.0 with 15K and a decrease to -220K for x=2. To explain this evolution we suggest that antiferromagnetic superexchange between Co and Ru ions is for x1 compensated by the reinforcement of ferromagnetic interactions, most likely associated with the formation of quasi-itinerant p* bands (Ru-O).

  • Studiem perovskitů La2-xSrxCoRuO6 lze získat cenné informace o vzájemném vlivu kationtového uspořádání, nábojového vyrovnání, transportu a magnetických interakcích mezi Co a Ru kationty. Transportní vlastnosti perovskitů s uspořádánými polohami Co a Ru s x1 jsou vysvětleny na základě předpokladu ideálních valencí Co a Ru blízko 2+ a 5+. Efektvní magnetický moment je roven cca 5.5 uB a nemění se významně s x. Weissova konstanta vykazuje parabolickou závislost na x: od –70K pro x=0, přes maximum for x=1.0 s 15K a pokles k -220K pro x=2. Toto chování je vysvětleno antiferromagnetickou supervýměnou mezi Co a Ru ionty pro x1, která je kompenzována ferromagnetickými interakcemi pro x<1 a x>1, spojenými s vytvořením kvazi-itinerantního p* pásu (Ru-O).
