Description
  • The magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of Nd5Si1.45Ge2.55 compound has been studied under high hydrostatic pressure up to 0.9 GPa. Both TC and MCE weakly increase with pressure. The values of dTC/dV and d -ΔSM /dV obtained from experiments under high pressure are sufficiently lower than those estimated from the x dependence of the lattice cell volume of Nd5(SixGe1-x)4 compounds. It indicated that the changes of magnetocaloric properties can not be explained only by volume effect

Hodnoty dTC/dV and -ΔSM /dV získané z vysokotlakých experimentů jsou podstatně nižší než hodnoty odvozené z koncentrační závislosti objemu krystalové mřížky sloučenin Nd5(SixGe1-x)4. To svědčí o tom, že změny magnetokalorických jevů nemohou být vysvětleny pouze objemovým efektem (cs)
