| - Chemical generation of atomic iodine for a chemical oxygen-iodine laser (COIL) was investigated experimentally via a two-step reaction mechanism involving the reaction of molecular fluorine with nitrogen oxide and the reaction of formed fluorine atoms with hydrogen iodide to iodine atoms. High concentrations of atomic iodine (5-8 x 1015 cm-3) were achieved by this method at pressures 4-9 kPa, which are sufficient for a COIL operation

- Publikace obsahuje výsledky experimentálního výzkumu chemické generace atomárního jodu pro chemický kyslík-jodový laser (COIL). Proces je založen na dvoustupňovém mechanismu zahrnujícím reakci molekulárního fluoru s oxidem dusnatým a reakci vytvořených fluorových atomů a jodovodíkem. Touto metodou jsou získávány vysoké koncentrace atomárního jodu, které jsou dostatečné pro činnost laseru (cs)
