  • Alternative chemical methods of atomic iodine generation for a chemical oxygen-iodine laser (COIL) from gaseous reactants were investigated including chlorine or fluorine atoms as precursors. A laser generation on the supersonic COIL device with the output power of 430 W and the small al gain up to 0.4 %/cm were attained via chlorine atoms. Fluorine way of atomic iodine generation was studied hitherto on a small-scale device and the maximum yield of I atoms related to the input F2 was 27 %.

  • Byly studovány alternativní metody produkce atomárního jódu pro chemický kyslík-jodový laser (COIL) z plynných regent pomocí chemických reakcí před atomární chlor nebo atomární fluor. Byla již měřena laserová generace na supersonickém COILu s výkonem 430 wattů a zesílením 0.4 %/cm s reakčním systémem přes chlor. Reakční systém přes fluor byl studován dosud na malém zkušebním zařízení se speciální diagnostikou na atomární jod a maximální výtěžek I atomů vztažený na vstupní koncentraci F2 byl 27 %. (cs)
