  • Ozařujeme-li povrch materiálu zářením běžných (UF-viď-IČ) laserů, závisí ablační práh a účinnost stejně jako kvalita ablaovaných povrchů na tom, zda byly použity krátké (typicky nanosekundové) či ultrakrátké (typicky femtosekundové) impulzy. Nedávno bylo uvedeno do provozu několik krátkovlnných laserů (lambda<100 nm) poskytujících pulzy délek od desítek femtosekund do nanosekund, které nám umožňují prozkoumat tuto závislost i v XUV spektrálním oboru (cs)
