  • Pomocí elektronové paramagnetické resonance (EPR) byly studovány dva typy center Cu2+ v nominálně čistých krystalech PbWO4 vypěstovaných metodou Czochralského a Brifgmana. Jedno z center nazvané Cu2+(I), vzniká po kompenzaci kyslíkem, zatímco druhé centrum, nazvané Cu2+(II), vyžaduje navíc ozáření infračerveným světlem při nízkých teplotách, nebot´ je stabilní pouze do teplot 22-23 K (cs)
