Description	The study analyzing mutations in p53, overexpression of p53 protein, their association with selected tumor clinical parametres and the association of p53 markers with survival amomg 859 women diagnosed with breast cancer. The prevalence of p53 overexpression in the tumor was 36% and of any p53 mutation was 15%. Overexpression of p53 was positively associated with the presence of any p53 mutation. Any p53 mutation and missense mutations were associated with breast cancer-specific and all-cause mortality. These associations however did not remain after adjusting for estrogen/progesterone receptor status. (en) Studie analyzující frekvenci mutací v p53, overexpresi proteinu p53, jejich asociace s vybranými klinickými parametry nádorů a vztah mezi oběma p53 markery a přežitím u 859 žen s rakovinou prsu. Overexprese proteinu p53 byla zjištěna u 36% vzorků, mutace v p53 u 15% vzorků. Overexprese p53 byla pozitivně asociována s výskytem mutací v p53. Výskyt mutací v p53 (všech mutací i missense mutací) ovlivňoval jak úmrtnost specificky na rakovinu prsu, tak úmrtnost z ostatních příčin. Tyto asociace nicméně vymizely po zohlednění přítomnosti estrogenového/progesteronového receptoru u studovaných osob. (cs)
