  • Kaiser Rudolf II. wendete seine Aufmerksamkeit auf den Schlossgarten in Brandeis an der Elbe schon in den Jahren 1586-1588. Seine Grundfläche wurde vergrössert, Sommerhaus und Ballhaus gebaut und durch die Brücke und Gang (von Ettore de Vaccani) mit dem Schloß verbindet. Zwiebeln hat Ferdinand Clola angepflanzt. Wasserbrunn wurde von Antonio Brocco geschaffen und durch ein grosses Ovalbecken mit Sandsteinfiguren ergänzt. Der Ģrundriß aus der Barockzeit, signiert durch K. I. Dientzenhofer, zeigt nur kleine Abweichungen von dem ursprünglichen Zustand.
  • Emperor Rudolf II put the special accent on his garden at the castle Brandys an der Elbe already between 1586–1588. Its area was enlarged and a summer house and ball game house were erected and connected with a castle by corridors and bridge by architect Ettore de Vaccani. Bulbs were grown by Ferdinand Clola; from 1616 there exist a detailed inventory. Fountains carved by Antonio Brocco were accompanied by a large oval pool and other pool with sandstone statues. A baroque plan with a legend signed by J. K. Dienzenhofer shows in fact only small modification of a renaisance layout. (en)
