Description	Cílem konference bylo umožnit setkání vědcům zabývajícím se problematikou vzdělávání a jeho vztahu k sociálním nerovnostem a sociální stratifikaci v moderních společnostech. Řešeny byly zejména tyto 2 otázky: 1. jakým způsobem a do jaké míry ovlivňují společenské charakteristiky vzdělanostní úroveň dané společnosti; 2. jakým způsobem a do jaké míry se mění dosažené vzdělání jedinců v závislosti na povaze vzdělávacího systému? (cs) The aim of the conference was to bring together researchers working on research in education, its relationship to inequalities and social stratification in modern societies. The following questions were addressed: 1. how and to what degree the different characteristics of societies influence educational achievements of specific groups of students; 2. how and to what degree the characteristics of schools and the educational system change the differences in educational outcomes of students.
