Description	After the fall of the Great Moravia the diminished elite continued to identify itself with his country. Only in rare cases the reconstruction of several castles can be documented.The importance of Olomouc wa on the rise. At the beginning of the 11th century the castle in Přerov was build as a buttress of Polish power. The systematic building of castles, however, began as late as after the annexation of Moravia by the Přemyslids. The castles served in the 11th and 12th century not only as the defensive structures but also as the administrative centres and mainly as the centres for the redistribution of resources. The castles can be divided in three groups: residences of appanage princes, large administrative castles and small fortification of a military character. In was mainly in the 12th century that the whole system began to change, the aristocrats livinge here began to be more oriented towards their private properties. Many centres had declines by the end of the 12th century, the remaninig ones were rebuilt in the 13th century in the stone castles. (en) Nach dem Falle Großmährens identifizierten sich die reduzierten Eliten mit ihrem Land. Nur selten wurde die verfallenen Burgen renoviert, aber die Bedeutung von Olomouc im Norden wuchs an. Am Anfang des 11. Jahrhunderts wurde die Burg in Přerov aufgebaut als Stützpunkt der polnischen Macht. Der systematische Ausbau der Burgen wurde erst nach der Eroberung des Landes durch die Přemysliden. Die Burgen des 11. und 12. Jahrhunderts dienten als militärische und administrative Zentren, abe vor allem als Orte der Umverteilung der Einkünften. Die Burgen kann man in drei Gruppen verteilen: Sitze der Fürsten, große Burgen mit Verwaltung- und Wirtschaftsfunktion als auch kleine Befestigungen, die vor allem zu militärischen Zwecken dienten. Im 12. jahrhundert begann sich das ganze System ändern, da die Aristokratie sich almählich mehr auf ihre Landgüter orientierte. Viele Burgen verfielen am Ende des 12.Jahrhunderts, die übrigen wurden im 13. Jahrhundert in Steinburgen umgebaut.
