  • Adequate measurement of in vivo 1H MR spectra of macromolecules (proteins, lipids) in the brain requires effective suppression of considerably stronger signals of low molecular weight metabolites, whose T1 and T2 relaxation times are fairly inhomogeneous. Schemes with single or double inversion recovery are most often employed for this purpose, exploiting the differences of T1 relaxation times of macromolecules and metabolites. In this paper, comparison of some properties of these schemes is presented, mainly with respect to the efficiency of metabolite suppression and macromolecule detection. Additionally, problems of incorporating highly effective B1-, T1- and B0-insensitive water suppression into the inversion recovery schemes are dealt with

  • K řádnému měření in vivo 1H MR spekter makromolekul (proteinů, lipidů) v mozku je nutno účinně potlačit značně silnější signály nízkomolekulárních metabolitů, jejichž relaxační časy T1 a T2 nejsou ostře vymezené. K tomuto účelu jsou nejčastěji používána schémata s jedním nebo dvěma zotaveními po inverzi, využívající rozdílu v relaxačních časech T1 makromolekul a metabolitů. V této práci je prezentováno srovnání těchto schémat, zvláště s ohledem na účinnost potlačení metabolitů a detekce makromolekul. Práce se dále zabývá problémy včlenění vysoce účinného potlačení vody necitlivého na B1-, T1- a B0 do schémat se zotavením po inverzi (cs)
