  • Extraction efficiency of different solvents extracting two main phenolic compounds from spruce needles was tested. Although 80% aqueous methanol is most frequently used for this type of material, it was found that pure methanol is a more suitable extraction solvent. A two-step extraction of crushed needles with water and methanol was a good alternative. Greater yields of p-hydroxyacetophenone than catechin extracted from uncrushed versus crushed needles indicate that sample preparation prior analysis is important as it significantly influences the results.

  • Byla zjišťována extrakční účinnost různých činidel a postupů při extrakci dvou hlavních fenolických látek ve smrkovém jehličí, p-hyfroxyacetophenonu a katechinu. Přestože se k extrakci nejčastěji používá 80% metanol, jako nejúčinnější se projevil metanol čistý. Dobrou alternativou extrakce v čistém metanolu byla dvoustupňová extrakce rozdrcených jehlic (voda+metanol). Drcení vzorků ovlivnilo množství extrahovaných látek, což ukazuje na důležitost přípravy vzorků před analýzou. (cs)
