Description
Stopová množství organických polutantů v monitorovaném ekosystému nedávají průkaznou odpověď v řasovém biotestu a tak v krátkodobém pokusu (řádově v týdnech) není možno odlišit kontaninované a nekontaminované vzorky. Syntetický triolein plněný do zařízení se polopropustnými membránami (SPDM) s kombinací a řasovým testem toxicity nabízí dobrý systém pro hodnocení kvality vody (cs)
  • The present paper concentrates on the problem of monitoring of organic pollutants which even in trace level concentration can affect the algal biota. Such substances are difficult to analyse in the environment via common point sampling methodology followed by any analytical procedure. The conventional analytical methods of analysis of persistent organic pollutants require pre-treatment of the analyzed sample which results in a higher level of inaccuracy in the results obtained. Trace concentrations of organic pollutants in monitored ecosystems do not provide a significant response in algal bioassays and thus in short duration experiments (period of weeks) there is usually no possibility of differentiating contaminated and non-contaminated samples. Synthetic triolein-filled semipermeable membrane devices (SPMD) in combination with algal toxicity bioassays offer a good system for assessment of water quality.
