Description	Recent studies concerning vegetation in the Gravettian period (OIS3) are in contradiction with more traditional view to the period as being so harsh that it could support only open vegetation of so-called %22mammoth steppe%22. This evidence mostly concentrates to the eastern part of Central Europe and show important role of trees. Analogies to this can be recently studied in certain parts of southern Siberia.
