Description	Supplementation of the rumen ciliates Diploplastron affine growth medium with a commercial chitin stimulated growth of ciliates and the density of their population was positively correlated with chitin doses (r=0.95; p<0.01). It was also found that the cell free extract prepared from bacteria free ciliates degraded chitin to N-acetylglucosamine and chitobiose. Three exochitinases, two endochitinases and two b-N-acetylglucosaminidases were identified in cell free extract of protozoa. The molecular weight of exochitinases was 80, 65 and 30 kDa and endochitinases 75 and 50 kDa. The molecular mass of one of the identified b-N-acetylglucosaminidases was 45 kDa. (en) Přídavek chitinu k mediu bachorového prvoka Diploplastron affine stimuloval rychlost jeho růstu a výsledná denzita kultury korelovala s množstvím přidaného chitin (r=0.95; p<0.01). Bezbuněčný extrakt z těchto prvoků degradoval chitin na N-acetylglukosamin a chitobiosu. Byly identifikovány tři exochitinasy, dvě endochitinasy a dvě b-N-acetylglukosaminidasy. Molekulová hmotnost exochitinas byla 80, 65 a 30 kDa a endochitinas 75 a 50 kDa. Molekulová hmotnost jedné identifikované b-N-acetylglukosaminidasy byla 45 kDa. (cs)
