  • Zjišťovali jsme účinky pektinu a dvou preparátů amidovaného pektinu u potkanů krmených dietou s 1% cholesterolu. Pektiny byly ke krmivu přidány v množství 60 g/kg. Pektinamid o nižším stupni substituce (30%) zvýšil koncentraci HDL cholesterolu v krvi a pektinamid o vyšší substituci (53%) snížil cholesterolémii. Oba pektinamidy snížily koncentraci cholesterolu a tuku v tkáni jater a zvýšily koncentraci cholesterolu v exkrementech. Pektin tyto účinky neměl, zvýšil však hmotnost slepého střeva a koncentraci těkavých mastných kyselin v jeho obsahu. (cs)
  • Pectin and preparations of amidated pectin were tested in male rats fed a diet containing 1% of cholesterol. Pectins were supplied at 60 g/kg. Pectinamide of lower degree of amidation (30%) increased HDL cholesterol, and pectinamide of higher degree of amidation (53%) decreased cholesterolemia. Both preparations decreased hepatic concentrations of cholesterol and fat, and increased faecal concentration of cholesterol. Corresponding effects of pectin were absent. Pectin increased weight of caecum and concentration of caecal volatile fatty acids.
