| - Formation of the oral vestibule is ignored in most studies on tooth development, although dental and vestibular lamina are closely related to each other. Knowledge about morphogenetic processes shaping the oral vestibule is missing almost completely. The aim of this study was to assess the developmental relationship between dental and vestibular lamina as well as formation of the oral vestibule in the upper jaw of the field vole (Microtus agrestis), a small rodent representing an attractive model species for comparative dental studies. - Tvorba předsíně dutiny ústní byla dosud ve většině studií vývoje zubů přehlížena, přestože spolu zubní a vestibulární lišta úzce souvisí. Znalosti o morfogenetických procesech, které tvarují vestibulum oris téměř chybí. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit vztah mezi zubní a vestibulární lištou a formováním předsíně dutiny ústní v horní čelisti hraboše mokřadního (Microtus agrestis), malého hlodavce, který je vhodným modelem pro srovnávací studie vývoje zubů. Trojrozměrné rekonstrukce odhalily, že horní vestibulární lišta hraboše je spojena s antemolární částí diastemální zubní lišty, podobně jako u myši. Později tento lištový komplex mizí a vestibulární lišta se odděluje od molárové zubní lišty. Účast vestibulární lišty na formování zubní lišty, jak bylo předpovězeno u myši, však zůstává nejasná.
