Description	The present contribution deals with the role of soil water dynamics in runoff generation in the course of vegetation season in the selected headwater regions of the Czech Republic. The measured values are compared with the simulations worked out using two rainfall-runoff models, SAC-SMA and BROOK, both developed in the USA, the first one in National Weather Service and the second one in the Forest Service. One of the outputs of these simulations is soil water or its components. They have been compared with measured soil water content in localities differing in vegetation cover. Comparison shows that measured and simulated volumes differ, but tendencies in the time course are very similar. (en) Příspěvek hodnotí význam dynamiky půdní vody ve vytváření odtoku během vegetační sezóny ve vybraných pramenných oblastech České republiky. Měřené hodnoty jsou porovnávány se simulacemi s využitím dvou srážko-odtokových modelů, SAC-SA a BROOK, oba vyvinuté v USA, prvý v National Weather Service a druhý ve Forest Service. Jedním z výstupů simulací je půdní voda a/nebo její komponenty. Ty byly srovnávány s měřeným objemem půdní vody v lokalitách s různým vegetačním krytem. Porovnání ukazuje, že simulovaný objem se liší, ale tendence v časovém průběhu jsou velmi podobné. (cs)
