  • The paper discussed various applications of FT-IR absorption spectroscopy as a tool for characterization of waste biofuels in gasification and pyrolysis. The FT-IR spectrometry allows analysis of solid and liquid waste and bio-fuels. An attached, dedicated gas cell was used for characterizazion of gases released during pyrolysis in a versatile pyrolyser/gasifier attached to the FT-IR.The pyrolyser operated in a batch mode and generated large quantities of products samples suitable for further chemical and physical analysis.The paper present preliminary results from investigation of the pyrolysis gases from three bio-fuels: pure cotton, wood and a fuel from blended wood and plastics (ROFIRE).

  • Článek uvažuje různé aplikace FT-IR spektrometrie jako nástroje pro characterizování odpadů a biopaliv při gasifikaci a pyrolýse. FT-IR spektrometrie dovoluje analýzu tuhých a kapalných vzorků odpadů a bio-paliv. Na druhé straně pomocí plynové komůrky je možné měřit i složení plynů z pyrolýzy a gasifikace. Bylo studováno a charakterizováno složení plynů uvolněných během pyrolýzy bavlny, dřeva a směsi dřevo-plastiké hmoty ve flexibilním pyrolyzéru/zplyňovači připojeném k FT-IR spektroskopu.Pyrolyzér pracoval ve vsádkovém režimu a generoval dostatečně velké množství produktů pro studium vzorků (chemické složení a fyzikální vlastnosti). Článek prezentuje předběžné výsledky. (cs)
