Description
  • Thermodynamics and chemical equilibrium for reduction of nickel/cobalt oxide by hydrogen, carbon monoxide, model syngas and methane and for oxidation of metallic Ni and Co by steam has been studied in a temperature range 400 – 900 K. Attention was concentrated also on possible formation of undesired soot, relevant carbides and carbonates. Oxidation of Ni and Co by steam is thermodynamically the more difficult step at temperatures 400 – 900 K . NiO and/or CoO reduction is feasible. Ni and Co-ferrite could be a convenient compound for cyclic redox process of hydrogen production if stability of the ferrites is sufficient.

  • V rozmezí teplot 400 – 900 K byly studovány termodynamické možnosti a chemické rovnováhy jednak pro redukci NiO a CoO vodíkem, oxidem uhelnatým a metanem a jednak pro oxidace Ni a Co vodní parou. Pozornost byla soustředěna také na možnou tvorbu nežádoucích produktů jako sazí, příslušných karbidů a uhličitanů. Oxidace Ni a Co vodní parou je termodynamicky obtížnšjší krok za teplot 400 – 900 K. Redukce NiO a CoO je snadnější krok. Pokud by stabilita Ni a/nebo Co-feritu byla dostačující, bylo by možné využít k cyklickému redox procesu výroby vodíku těchto feritů. (cs)
