Description	The main purpose of this paper is examining the utilization of various mapping data for biotope evaluation by BVM (biotope valuation method, modified from Hessian method). The evaluation of landscape segments of different size was performed and compared while using mapping data of different scale (Corine LC and NATURA 2000 mapping). The result shows advisable combinations of map extent and mapping data for biotope evaluation in order to maximize the effectivity and leave the high information value.
