  • V rámci polního experimentu byl použit systém modulovaných zářivek, který umožnil navýšení intenzity dopadající UV-B radiace (? = 290-320 nm) o 25%. V případě C. arundinacea byla rychlost asimilace CO2 limitována pouze stomatální vodivosti (gs), zatímco u C. villosa poklesla hodnota gs i aktivita enzymu RUBISCO. Tyto fyziologické změny se projevily i na úrovni růstu. V reakci na zvýšenou intenzitu UV-B záření nadzemní biomasa C. villosa poklesla (převažující negativní efekt) a mírně vzrostla (převažující pozitivní efekt) v případě C. arundinacea. (cs)
  • A system of modulated lamps operating under field conditions was used to simulate a 25% increase of incident UV-B (? = 290-320 nm) radiation. CO2 assimilation seemed to be limited by a decrease of stomatal conductance (gs) in C. arundinacea, whereas carboxylation activity of RUBISCO enzyme was not affected. On the contrary, gs and RUBISCO activity decreased in C. villosa. These physiological adjustments resulted in growth changes; above-ground biomass decreased in C. villosa (prevailing negative effect) and significantly increased in C. arundinacea (prevailing positive effect) in response to enhanced UV-B radiation.
