Description	The main purpose of this paper was to verify a possibility to use data from Natura 2000 mapping system for biotope valuation using modified Hessian method and to compare their resolution with data from CORINE Land Cover mapping. Obtained results showed that data from CORINE LC are precise enough for creation of cost map in the area of size tenths of km2. However, for biotope evaluation at local scale it is relevant to use much more precise NATURA 2000 data. Also the individual evaluation could be ignored for price map formation of bigger areas. The land cover change between 1990 and 2000, determined by comparing data from two CORINE LC mapping, was found quite negligible.
