Description	The aim of the proposed project is to investigate effects of feed supplements containing phytase combined with selected strains of lactic acid microorganisms that acidify the gastro-intestinal environment, added into starter and grower diets for chicken broilers and into diets for piglets, as factors increasing the utilization of the myoinositolhexaphosphate-protein complex and myoinositolhexaphosphate present in cereals. The expected results are improved FCR and decreased phosphorus and nitrogen excretion via chick and piglet excreta, and the stabilization of high health status without using antibiotic feed supplements. In order to achieve the above objectives, feed and metabolic trials on chicken broilers and metabolic trials on piglets will be performed in which the most effective combination of probiotic preparations containing lactic acid microorganisms and phytase will be determined.
