Description	This article discusses some of the problems of the EU internal market, which have been associated with the financial crisis. The financial crisis has triggered the need for reform of the financial markets and economic change management and stronger economic coordination within the EU. During the crisis, there was a tendency towards strengthening the orientation of banks in the domestic market and a reduction in cross-border operations. A major challenge facing the EU financial market is wider harmonization of consumer rights across the EU. This area will have to deal with several countries, including the EU. Despite the high concentration of global financial conglomerates operating in the EU market is not as strong harmonized protection of investors and consumers of financial products, with the exception of some of the measures already adopted. Harmonization of consumer protection issues will be given more attention in the future.
