Description
  • Visual illustrations are an integral part of e-learning courses and multimedia learning materials. Especially in the field of technical graphics is often very difficult to ensure high-quality graphical output, which is useful in e-learning and when projecting with the data projector. One of the biggest problems are screen captures and outputs of programs such as CAD (Computer Aided Design), which use lines 1 pixel thick. If we store graphics outputs from these programs in the wrong format or low resolution, we can get the low-quality or totally unusable result. Even if the authors of learning materials store the graphic data properly, they can eventually destroy the result when they use the data projector which is wrongly ajusted or uses inappropriate settings. If the authors of e-learning materials respect a few simple principles, they can make a high-quality visual materials that can be used in e-learning sysems and also with use of data projector. The article introduces results of experiments, the authors carried out to determine the optimum parameters for saving to image formats. The authors also focused on experimenting in the design of image materials using projectors. The article also shows how the various correction mechanisms of dataprojectors affect the quality of the projected image and the effect on image quality projection in native resolution. In addition to results of the experiments, the paper gives recommendations for teaching practice.
