Description	The book deals with properties of some special classes of matrices that are useful in economics and decision making problems. According to the nature of the information expressed by the decision maker, different representation formats are used e.g. multiplicative preference relations, additive preference relations, fuzzy preference relations, interval-valued preference relations, and also linguistic preference relations. In many important optimization problems the objective functions and constraints are characterized by extremal operators such as maximum, minimum or various fuzzy triangular norms (t-norms). Matrices in max-min algebra, or in general max-T algebra, are useful in applications such as automata theory, or medical diagnosis. The steady states correspond to eigenvectors of matrices in max-min algebra (max-T algebra). For systems described by interval coefficients various types of interval eigenvectors are described.
