Description	This article provides readers with an insight into the process of teaching/learning the inflectional West Slavic Czech language at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Králové. The contribution is elaborated from several points of view, on the background of commonly featured key teaching/learning theories grouped into the following paradigms of behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism and humanism. Description of the learning/teaching process is accompanied by demonstration of basic principles which were stated by Comenius already in the 17th century but which are incredibly eternal, vivid and efficient up to now.
