Description	A university environment seems to be by its nature especially suitable for the application of knowledge management. In the contribution we wish to present a series of steps aim-ing to stress the knowledge nature of a university via implementing knowledgemanage-ment approaches. All of these steps have their practical aspects and have influenced very highly the everyday functioning of the university. A lot of these steps are introduced in a close collaboration with interested students, enabling thus a di rect feedback from their point of view. Recently provided investigations have shown a substantial influence of the described activities on the attractiveness of the university, resulting in increasing demand of enrolled students and their evaluation of the quality of study.
