Description	The introduction of the article outlines the issues of acquired neurogenic and auditory disturbances, and the subsequent case report in concerned with course and results of a long-term process of speech and language therapy in a young male who suffered multiple central nervous system and skull trauma in a car accident resultingin the development of severe speech communication as well as auditory perception disturbances. A detailed account is given of the process of speech and language intervention, search of suitable and effective auditory prosthetics, restoration od the performance of phatic functions, and the role of family background and stays in a rehabilitation spa facility in long-term outpacient speech and language care.
