Description	The aim of this study was to monitor occurrence of Lactobacillus spp. in samples of goat's colostrums and to compare the results with the raw goat's and ewe's milk. Cultures of lactobacilli were cultivated from samples of goat's colostrums (n=130), raw goat's milk (n=6) and raw ewe's milk (n=13) from the dairy farms in Czech Republic. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method was used for the identification of Lactobacillus spp. from DNA of selected samples (n=215) isolated from goat's colostrums, raw goat's milk (n=10) and raw ewe's milk (n=16). Only 21 % of isolated strains, cultivated from selected samples of goat's colostrums, were identified by the PCR as Lactobacillus spp. In samples of raw ewe's milk only 5 isolated strains (31 %) were identified as Lactobacillus spp. and in raw goat's milk were none.
