Description
  • A total of 107 cows from a commercial Holstein herd were selected. The experimental group included 53 and controls included 54 pluriparous and primiparous cows. Animals were fed the same total mix ration supplemented with inorganic Zn (45 mg per 1 kg of ration) in total 1935 mg of Zn per day. The experimental group received an extra supplement of Zn bound on lactate and amino-acids once daily (Zinc chelate 100, f. Agrobac) in the amount of 250 mg per animal. During the five-month experiment there were no significant differences in the occurrence of digital disorders between experimental and control individuals excepting differences in the prevalence of dermatitis digitalis. These differences were probably not associated with the supplementation of Zn. During the study there were no significant differences in the Zn concentration in blood serum (14.7 versus 15.8 μmol/l) and in the somatic cell count in milk (145 000/ml versus 169 000/ml) between pluriparous cows of the experimental and control gr

  • Z komerčního stáda holštýnských dojnic bylo 107 vybráno do pokusu. Experimentální skupinu tvořilo 53, kontrolní 54 pluripar i primipar. Během studie nebyly prokázány průkazné rozdíly v koncentraci zinku v krevní plazmě (14.7 versus 15.8 μmol/l) a v počtu somatických buněk v mléce (145 000/ml versus 169 000/ml) mezi pluriparními dojnicemi experimentální a kontrolní skupiny.
