  • Cílem práce bylo sledovat vliv zvýšené suplementace kůzlat jódem na stav zásobení jejich organismu selenem. Do sledování bylo zařazeno 14 kůzlat ve věku 2 týdny rozdělených na 2 skupiny (E a C), s rozdílným příjmem jódu po dobu 2,5 měsíce. U kůzlat skupiny E byla v závěru experimentu zjištěna průkazně nižší koncentrace Se (88,1 +/- 10,9 mg/l; p < 0,01) i aktivita GSH-Px (484,0 +/- 125,4 mkat/l; p < 0,05) v porovnání s kůzlaty skupiny C (131,8 +/- 23,2 mg/l, resp. 713,3 +/- 153,3 mkat/l). Mezi koncentrací T3, T4 ani hmotností zvířat obou skupin průkazné rozdíly zjištěny nebyly. Výsledky naznačují, že zvýšená dotace jódu může mít negativní vliv na metabolismus selenu, resp. na stav zásobení organismu kůzlat selenem. (cs)
  • The aim of the study was to monitor the effect of increased iodine clinically healthy supplementation of the kid organism on the selenium status. The study included 7 clinically healthy 14-day-old kids from mothers with high iodine supplementation (group E) and 7 clinically healthy kids from mothers with mild hypoiodemia (group C). In the group E kids, evidence was found of lower Se concentration (88.1 +/- 10.9 mg/l; P < 0.01) as well as activity of the GSH-Px (484.0 +/- 125.4 mkat/l; P < 0.05) in comparison with the group C kids (131.8 +/- 23.2 mg/l and 713.3 +/- 153.3 mkat/l, respectively) at the end of the experiment (at 105 days of age of the kids). In the T3 or T4 concentrations or in the animal weights of both groups, no significant differences were found. The results indicate that increased iodine supplementation may have a negative effect on selenium metabolism and/or selenium status in kids.
