  • The article deals with possibilities of supplementation in microelement deficient animals and presents different forms of microelement that can be used. The function, metabolism and body distribution of zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, glutathionperoxidase and vitamin E are described. The article presents results from seven beef herds where the supplementation of the microelements is very difficult (in each herd, heifers at 12-14 months of age and cows in late pregnancy were investigated). The animalswere allocated into groups by 6 or 8. Minerals were supplemented only by mineral licks. Results received from different herds indicated differences between the production stages under study receiving the same diet, and different microelement status. Zinc did not seem to be deficient (only in one of the herds, marginal Zn status values were received). On the contrary, Cu and Mn are slightly deficient or marginal in all the groups.   • Článek se zabývá možností dotace při karencích mikroelementů a též informuje o různých formách, které je možno k tomuto použít. Informuje o funkci, metabolizmu a distribuci v organizmu u zinku, mědi, manganu, selenu, glutathionperoxidázy a vitamínu E. Vpraktické části článek ukazuje výsledky získané od sedmi chovů masného skotu, kde je dotace těchto látek velmi problematická(vždy od jalovic ve věku 12-14 měsíců a vysokobřezích krav) kde byly vytvořeny skupiny po 6 nebo 8 kusech. Jako minerální doplněkmají zvířata k dispozici pouze minerální liz. Výsledky z jednotlivých chovů ukazují na rozdíl mezi zmíněnými kategoriemi sledovaných zvířat, která jsou na stejné krmné dávce a dále i na rozdílné zásobení jednotlivými mikroelementy. Zinek se nejeví jako karenční (pouze v jednom chovu lze jeho hodnoty označit jako marginální). Naopak Cu stejně jako mangan je mírně karenční nebo marginální téměř ve všech skupinách. Hodnoty Se a Gpx jsou hluboce karenční ve všech případech, podle očekávání u březích zvířat (cs)
