Description
| - In the spectrum of 22 species of caterpillars hibernating in the soil, the most frequent were Orthotaenia undulana (36.9%) and Psyche casta (7.6%) and species of the genus Eriocrania. The most important pests of the 119 species of crown caterpillars are Cabera pusaria (34.7%), Operophtera fagata (16.4%) and Coleophora serratella (7.8%). Despite the different site conditions, no principle deviations were found among the crown fauna of the studied localities. Among the 123 species of moths caught by the light trap important were Biston betularius (7.7%), C. pusaria (7.0%), Apotomis betuletana (6.9%) and Pandemis cerasana (6.2%). The most significant representatives with a gradation potential are C.pusaria, Operophtera fagata, C.serratella, Eriocrania sp., B.betularius and Orthotaenia undulana). The most dangerous species appear in early spring (Eriocrania sp.,C.serratella, O.fagata), while only C.pusaria is commercially important in late su
