Description	The paper brings an assessment of Norway spruce growth response to heavy and recurrent browsing on both terminal and lateral shoots in the air polluted region of Krušné hory Mts. The objective is to compare and describe the growth dynamics of Norway spruce plantations in unfenced localities under a severe attack of game with plantations fenced from the outset of growth, in which no browsing damages occurred. The number of analyzed plots was 13. Each plant was measured for 3 basic growth parameters and 4 visually assessed traits. Although the damage by browsing does not have a direct impact on the mortality of plantations, it greatly contributes to growth retardation. Time required for the establishment of the plantation nearly doubles since the recurrent browsing adversely affects both height and diameter increment of the plant. Damage by browsing induces an increased development of branching shoots thus markedly altering the crown form and the good shape of the stem for a longer time. (en) Příspěvek hodnotí růstovou reakci smrku ztepilého na výrazný a opakovaný okus zvěří (terminálních i laterálních výhonů) v imisní oblasti Krušných hor. Cílem je porovnat a popsat růstovou dynamiku smrkových kultur na neoplocených lokalitách vystavených silnému ataku zvěře a na plochách, které byly od počátku růstu oploceny a škody okusem se zde nevyskytovaly. Analyzováno bylo celkem 13 ploch. U každé rostliny byly měřeny 3 základní růstové parametry a 4 vizuálně hodnocené znaky. Přestože poškození okusem nemá přímý vliv na mortalitu výsadeb, výrazně přispívá k retardaci růstu. Až dvojnásobně se prodlužuje doba potřebná k zajištění kultury, neboť opakující se okus negativně ovlivňuje výškový i tloušťkový přírůst rostliny. Poškození okusem indukuje zvýšenou tvorbu vícečetných výhonů, na delší dobu výrazně mění tvar koruny a znehodnocuje tvárnost kmene. (cs)
