Description
  • The aim of the study was to describe variability of the structure of roots in Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] Karst.) from their growth tips up to the stem foot, i.e. anchor roots in relation to their changing functions. Histology and anatomy of plant organs were dealt with by the innumerable number of authors and fundamentals of knowledge in these disciplines have become the self-evident part of textbooks of botany. The description of primary and secondary structure of roots is explained in many textbooks by means of drawings depicting the mutual position of particular systems of tissues. However, it refers mostly to the structure of herb roots either Magnoliophytes or Liliophytes. The structure of tree roots naturally does not substantially differ from herb species. A certain problem is related to the secondary thickening of roots, their ramification, anastomosis and changes in the structure which is en-forced by tension and pressure forces; these forces affect the roots during their mechanical load

  • Příspěvek se zabývá stavbou kořenů u smrku ztepilého (Picea abies [L.] Karst.) od jejich vzrostných vrcholů až k patě kmene tj. kořenů kotevních, ve vztahu k jejich měnící se funkci. Histologií a anatomií orgánů rostlin se v historii věnovala nesčetná řada autorů a základy poznatků v těchto oborech se staly samozřejmou součástí učebnic botaniky. Popis primární a sekundární stavby kořenů je v mnohých učebnicích názorně vysvětlen pomocí kreseb s vyznačením vzájemných poloh jednotlivých systémů pletiv. Většinou se však jedná o stavbu kořenů bylin ať již Magnoliofyt nebo Liliofyt. Stavba kořenů dřevin se samozřejmě principiálně od bylinných druhů neliší. Určitý problém je spojen jednak se sekundárním tloustnutím kořenů, s jejich větvením, srůsty a se změnou stavby, která je vynucena tahovými a tlakovými silami; ty na kořeny působí při mechanickém zatížení např. soliflukcí, zátěží a zhutňováním půdy nebo prostřednictvím jejich nadzemních systémů.
