| - The study deals with humus relations in some stands of various species composition in the region of the Drahanská vrchovina Upland. Deviations from the natural species composition of our forests resulted in marked changes in the tree species composition when coniferous species began to predominate at the expense of broadleaved species. The study output consists of the content of available and total nutrients in the surface humus and the content of total organic carbon in precipitation waters and in the soil solutions. In comparing variants of the surface humus in particular stands it was found that nitrogen reserves were highest in a mature spruce stand (845 kg/ha) whereas in a mixed and beech stand, the reserves were lower. In the mature spruce stand, it indicates a reduced cycle of nutrients. The content of total organic carbon (TOC) was highest in the mature mixed stand (in a soil solution detected by gravitation lysimeters) which showed evidence of the sufficiency of a substrate available for soil

- Studie se zabývá humusovými poměry u několika porostů s různou dřevinnou skladbou v oblasti Drahanské vrchoviny. Odklon od přirozené dřevinné skladby našich lesů vedl k výrazným změnám v druhovém zastoupení lesních dřevin, kdy na úkor listnatých dřevin začaly převažovat v druhové skladbě dřeviny jehličnaté. Výstupem studie jsou obsah přístupných a celkových živin v povrchovém humusu a obsah celkového organického uhlíku ve srážkových vodách a v půdním roztoku. Při srovnávání variant nadložního humusu v jednotlivých porostech bylo zjištěno, že zásoba dusíku byla nejvyšší v dospělém smrkovém porostu (844,8 kg/ha) a ve smíšeném a bukovém porostu byly hodnoty nižší. V dospělém smrkovém porostu to ukazuje na zpomalený koloběh živin. Obsah celkového organického uhlíku (TOC) byl nejvyšší v dospělém smíšeném porostu (v půdním roztoku zachyceném gravitačními lyzimetry), což svědčí o dostatku substrátu dostupného půdním mikroorganizmům.
