Description	La degradación medioambiental, el agotamiento de los recursos y los riesgos naturales han contribuido con un papel importante como factores de expulsión en los movimientos de población durante la historia de la humanidad, por lo general filtrados a través de contextos de pobreza, deficiencia alimentaria, conflictos y desigualdad social. Desde esta perspectiva, Myers (1993, 1997, 2001b), Brown (2004) y otros anuncian el creciente aumento del número de incidentes que fuerzan a la gente a dejar sus casas y campos por causa de problemas medioambientales. Más aún, los mismos autores consideran la migración medioambiental como un problema emergente de importancia global, especialmente a la luz de los análisis del cambio climático dirigidos por el Panel Intergubernamental sobre el Cambio Climático (McLeman and Smit 2004: 5). Las personas raramente se mueven por una sola razón, pues la motivación para emigrar suele consistir de una compleja combinación de diversos factores como las ideas, conceptos y suenos The paper discusses theoretical approaches dealing with links between environmental change and migration processes. The environment-induced migration concept is based on hypothesis that environmental change can have significant impact on decision-making process of migrants as the dominant %22push%22 factor. The prime aim of the work is to produce synthesized paper which reflects various concepts of environmental migrants (refugees) and the discussion dealing with relevance of the issue. The second aim of the work is to present general structural cross-sectional typology which integrates the most significant points from the various typologies. (en)
