  • Results of performed model simulations for a clear day and an overcast day showed that the impacts of a climatic change on the structure of energy balance equation of forest stands may be substantially dependent also on the response of stomatal apparatus to changes in soil moisture content within the root zone. If the soil is sufficiently wet, an increase in values of the stand radiation balance may result in a rise of heat flux required for transpiration while, under conditions of a reduced availability of soil moisture.
