| - With increasing operating costs of an agricultural or municipal machinery owners are focusing on its maximum utilization. If the companies are small, family farms often, the costs associated with the machinery operation can be better controlled than in larger companies with dozens of machines and extensive land fond. One way how to control the using of machines (the tractor itself, or next equipment) may be monitoring of machine using a system of GPS positioning. The collected information can be used not only for feedback control of the machine position but also eg. for checking the hours worked by agriculture machinery. With advanced software programs, it is possible to process the boundaries of land parcels form the LPIS system. Management or senior manager of the company can then have an overview of what is happening on the farmed area nearly in real time.
