Description
  • The aim of this work was to evaluate effect of cattle production type on biochemical parameters of blood plasma. In experiment two breed of cattle was used, beef cattle Aberdeen Angus (10 animals) and dual purpose breed type that in our conditions, however, mainly used for milkproduction -- Czech Pied cattle (10 animals). Blood was collected from calving cows during lactation, specifically 94th day, 133rd day, 164th day, 194th day and 235th day of lactation. Blood was drawn from vena coccygea media at regular intervals by sampling system HEMOS. The result is a marked difference between the levels of blood plasma of the parameters studied breeds. Statistically significant difference in total protein concentration was detected 164th day, the 204th day and 235th day of the experiment, the growing tendency of this parameter was observed in beef breeds, which also reached higher values. The difference in urea concentration was found to 94th day, 133rd day and 164th day of the experiment. Dairy breed showed generally higher values of urea in blood plasma. The maximum value was achieved 133rd day (8.36 mmol/l) on the contrary cholesterol concentration was higher in individuals belonging to a beef cattle. Statistically significant difference was observed 94th day, 164th day and 204th day. Glucose levels were examined in both breeds similar trend. Significantly different concentrations were measured up to the end of the experiment when values reached higher meat breed. Statistically significant difference was found 133rd day and 235 day of the experiment. Statistically significant difference was found even in one of the enzymes studied. Alanine aminotransferase levels are monitored at different type of animal, commercial 94th day, 164th day and 204th day. Higher values of his parameter reached Aberdeen Angus breed. Statistically significant difference in concentration of aspartate aminotransferase in blood plasma was not found.
