Description	The crowding of dairy cows was indentified at commercial farm in South -- Moravian region in Czech Republic. Crowding was present during the summer period. For the aim of this research pen was divided in three sectors (I, II and III). Cows were observed 106 days with two cameras. Snapshots were taken at 14:00, from which we calculated the cow's number in individual sectors. The aim of this study was to examine the crowding of dairy cows and its relationship to chosen environment parameters. Relations were tested by Chi -- square test. Chi square test showed, that were 76.7 days when acquired number of cows in sectors, was different than expected. Chi -- square test value increased with crowding intensity. During the research period at 14:00 were found 66.3 % cows in sector I, 27.2 % in sector II and 6.3 % in sector III. Daily milk yield was significantly lower in period, when cows were crowded, than when not. Crowding had significant effect (P < 0.05) on milk production, used space and relative humidity.
