| - This new publication on Radionuclides Concentrations in Foods and Environment addresses the key aspects of important and complex interdisciplinary issues concerning the relationship between natural and man-made sources of environmental radioactivity and the subsequent radionuclide concentrations in foods on an academic research level. The most important data and present knowledge on the content of radionuclides in all the principal environmental components, which are related to food production (atmospheric, aquatic and soil environments), and in foodstuffs and food raw material are included. The book brings retrospective and mostly recent and/or prospective information on: the radionuclide sources; transport of radionuclides through the ecosystems including predictive modelling of the processes; the principles and techniques used to analyse and to detect radioactive nuclides; regulations (based on the concept of dose limitation to the public) for control of radioactivity in food and the environment;

- Publikace zaměřená na klíčové oblasti související se zdroji přírodních a umělých radionuklidů a jejich výskytem v potravinách a potravinových zdrojích. Jsou shrnuta nejdůležitější data o obsahu radionuklidů ve všech složkách životního prostředí, které mají vztah k výrobě potravin (v atmosféře, vodních ekosystémech a půdním prostředí) v potravinách a potravinových surovinách. Kniha přináší retrospektivní i aktuální informace o zdrojích radionuklidů, o transportu radionuklidů v ekosystémech včetně principů modelování těchto procesů, charakterizuje principy a techniky užívané pro detekci a analýzu radionuklidů, informuje o pravidlech (legislativě) kontroly radioaktivity v potravinách a přírodním prostředí a dále o vlivu radioaktivity na rostliny a živočichy, o bezpečnosti a radiační ochraně při manipulaci s kontaminovanými potravinami, a v neposlední řadě o nebezpečí zneužití jaderných a radiaktivních materiálů v teroristické činnosti.
