  • Soil samples were taken from the top (ploughing) layer of soil contaminated with Zn for a long period. In dependence on the source of contamination, Zn contents (estimated in 1 M HCl) were 45 -- 60; 127 -- 131; 186 -- 194 and 263 -- 298 ppm. The effect of increased Zn levels on yields and health status of seeds of winter rape and of ryegrass hay was studied in a vegetation pot trial. The yields of seeds of winter rape increased proportionally to the level of Zn in the soil. The highest yields were obtained with 186 ppm of Zn per 1 kg of soil. A further increase in the level of Zn in the soil resulted in the depression of both seed and straw yields. The content of Zn in seeds increased in dependence on the level of Zn in soil and increased from 50.8 to 84.6 ppm. The content of Zn in the straw increased too, viz. from 50.9 to 203.6 ppm.   • Na půdě dlouhodobě kontaminované zinkem byla odebraná z orniční vrstvy zemina, která v závislosti od zdroje kontaminace obsahovala 45 --60, 127 -- 131, 186 -- 194 a 263 -- 298 mg zinku na kg zeminy stanovené v 1 M HCl. Ve vegetačním nádobovém pokusu byl sledován vliv zvýšených hladin Zn na výnos a zdravotní nezávadnost v semeni ozimé řepky a seně jílku jednoletého. Výnos semene u ozimé řepky se zvyšoval úměrně s obsahem Zn v půdě. Nejvyššího výnosu bylo dosaženo při hladině 186 ppm Zn na kg zeminy. Další zvýšený obsah Zn v půdě již vedl k výnosové depresi a to jak v produkci semene tak i slámy. Obsah zinku v semeni se zvyšoval v závislosti na jeho hladině v půdě a rostl od 50.8 do 84.6 ppm. Obdobná tendence byla prokázaná i ve slámě, kde obsah Zn se zvyšoval od 54.9 do 203.6 ppm. Vyšší hladiny zinku v půdě ovlivnily výrazněji obsah zinku ve slámě než v semeni a jeho zastoupení v semeni se při zvyšované hladině zinku snižovalo z 37.1 na 19.4 %.
